Strategies to create a more positive classroom/ Webinar

Even if we have 30 seconds or 1 minute, we can choose actions to make a difference in our classrooms.

There are so many ways in which emotions impact the classroom :
1- Emotions impact the quality of learning, relationships, and the students health in the classroom.
2- Emotions direct students' attentions and the quality of their attention.
3- Emotions can impact the excitement about what students are learning.
All in all, emotions impact every thing in the classroom!!!

We as teachers might get a sense of the students emotions by watching their body language, their body faces or even making up feeling check in activities such as:
Placing a  poster  on the door of the classroom that have some children faces expressing different emotions such as happy, worried, sad ,angry, okay and tired and colored sticks for every kind of emotion; lets say for feeling happy there are red sticks. Here students can take the colored stick that expresses there emotions and put it in the pocket that has there name on it.
This checking activity can be done quickly and it give the teacher a clear sense of the students' moods in the classroom.So, the teacher who uses this in the classroom, she use it as transition when students are coming in the room after they had a recess break or lunch break and in this case students began to understand that that there emotions changes through out the day.

Visualizing things that are pleasant to the students can change their moods. Teachers can tell the students to close their eye and imagine things they like and check how there body is doing. There body will relax and they will feel better. For example, if students feel nervous when they take the exam, they can close their eyes and think about being really confident, knowing the answers of the test and visualizing a good grade, this will help them relax and do well in the exam.
We should help the students to use this strategy at any time since we don't need any material for it. Teachers should first introduce the idea of visualization for the students, teach them it before they want them to use for their own need.
As a conclusion for what I said, visualization is powerful, changes moods, facilitate the learning and it is helpful for all kinds of tasks.

Another way that can change the mood of the students  is "Shake it off" activity where the students listen to a song and start dancing with it and moving their body. This activity gives a positive support for the students also it is very beneficial at the morning because it helps the students to wake up.

Cloud Computing

- Cloud computing is the use of computer software and data which is processed and stored by a remote computer.

- Cloud computing has many advantages:
1- By using the cloud, your slow computer will become a fast expensive one.
2- Their will be no need for backing-up your data. Cloud service stores your data and maintain it.
3- We can use the cloud service from multiple devices such as our phone, our laptop...etc.
4- It provides us with faster connections.

-There are three types of cloud services:
1- Storage only cloud services, they allow us only to save the date on them. Examples about them are Google drive, Drop box and I Cloud.
2- SAAS(Software as a service) is a service that offers software that runs on the cloud such as Google docs, Sheets and slides and Microsoft office365.
3- PAAS(Platform as a service) is a service that allows users to create SAAS applications. Examples on PAAS are  I page, Engine Yard and byethost.com

- Google cloud print is a special cloud service that allows you to print from any device and from any location. You can setup Google cloud printing using either Google print services or Google chrome. Also, you can use a cloud ready printer or a classical printer connected to the computer.

- Cloud antivirus is another special cloud service. Sometimes the traditional antivirus slows down our computers and we cannot delete it so the solution in such case is to use the cloud antivirus. The cloud antivirus runs on the cloud and is faster and lighter than the traditional antivirus. Panda cloud antivirus is very useful.

- Moving to the cloud security, cloud services differ in the level of security provided. Some offer minimum to moderate security others force the user to use high security standards. Google cloud security has advantages as well as disadvantages.

The advantages of Google cloud security  are:
1- Encrypted data
2- No virus infected files allowed.
3- Less software installations, less viruses

The disadvantages of Google cloud services is that administrators of the cloud can see your data as well as  they can delete it but we can use boxcryptor and make our password a secret so that the administrators will not be able to see our data or even delete it .

Importance of friends in our life

The ones who are always with you and never leave your side whether the times are good or bad are called friends. Friends are extremely important and friendship is a major part of every individual's life.
 Life teaches us a lot of things, but none is a better teacher than a friend. Friends are the only ones who accept us as we are, correct and direct us when we are wrong and never expect anything in return. They are the ones that we share with them our darkest secrets,they are always loyal to us and listen to all what we have to say; even if it makes no sense sometimes. Friends are the biggest support in our life , they are the ones that we feel secure when they are with us.Without friends, our life will be boring and meaningless.
Friendship can be established at any age and it has the power to defy the age barriers.
It is very hard for us to earn friends that are true and honest. But once we have those friends, we should try our best not to let this relationship go and ensure that it continues for the rest of our life.

How can we motivate our children to learn?

Many children display a lack of interest in learning and the reasons behind this are many: Maybe the parents don't have time to interact with the homework tasks and the child struggle without any help or maybe the child doesn't like a particular subject, a specific teacher or even the school it self and finally maybe there are too many distractions in his environment, so the child find it hard to concentrate. Whatever the reasons are, there are many ways that are useful in encouraging motivation in the children to learn.

1-  Praise your child's efforts at every success and celebrate his achievements, no matter how small they are.

2- Keep a positive attitude about school even if a child's problems in school are a result of problem with the school or with the teacher, we need to be careful about what we say and when.

3- Help your child make connections between his schoolwork and his interests. For example, a child who wants to be an electric engineer should know that math and science are important in this job.

4-  Stay nearby to your child when doing his work to help him stay on the track and review his work after he finishes.

5- Identify a quiet study spot for your child far away from brothers and sisters in order to help him concentrate.

My little daughter

My daughter is 8 months old and every day I love her more and more. She is  my little joy, my little angel, my every thing. Without her my life will nothing. I waited for her nine months  and every day i was imagining how cute and beautiful she will be. When she was born, i felt so blessed to have her, to love her and hold her between my arms. She gives me hope when I am sad, just looking at her and watching her sweet smile, her little face, her little hands brings joy to my life and makes me feel that I am the happiest person ever in this life. She has been drawing a smile on my face since the day she was born. She is a gift that god has sent to me. As the days are passing, my sweet little girl is growing and becoming more beautiful. No matter how old she will be because in my eyes she will always be my little dear child. I hope that I will be a good mother for her, the one that supports her and be always beside her in everything she will do in her life.

What is friction and why it is important?

Many people don't understand what friction is or what it does. Friction is the force that acts against the direction in which the object is moving. It can slow it down or stop it.  Friction occurs when two  or more moving objects are in contact with one another. The rougher the objects, the more the frictional force and the smoother the objects, the less the frictional force. Friction is what helps us walk and drive cars. The world without friction would be like a chaos. Nothing would stay where you put it. Every thing would slide around. Walking and standing would be impossible. Without friction when walking we would slip and slide and with cars the tires would just keep on spinning on the ground without moving .It would be very difficult to pick up and hold any thing without slipping from your hands. Pens an pencils wouldn't work. Without friction we would never feel the wind again, Meteorites will not slow down, they will strike Earth's surface with more force than friction would allow. Obviously, it is impossible to live in a frictionless world.

Teacher's day

 

A teacher is a person who teaches from his/her heart not from the book, a person who encourages us to strive for greatness and see the best in our selves, a person who help us fulfill our potentials. Teaching is not an easy job, it is hard. Teachers feel stressful, pressured and the blame for anything that goes wrong usually fall on their shoulders, they are like the candle, they consume themselves to light our way.
It is hard to find the right words to thank them after all they do for us.
